How we started
Alabamotion began in the heart of Alabama when a group of community volunteers came together over coffee to discuss a troubling fact: countless neighbors were eligible for vital assistance programs but remained unenrolled. They knew that programs like SNAP, Alabama Medicaid, and WIC could change lives, yet many locals were unaware of their eligibility. This insight sparked a mission to bridge the gap and ensure that no Alabamian had to navigate this complex landscape alone.
After brainstorming various funding avenues, the team identified vehicle donation as the perfect model. Not only did it provide a sustainable source of funds to support free benefits research, but it also allowed the community to help each other in a meaningful way. With the motto ‘AL’ guiding them, Alabamotion was born, dedicated to connecting local residents with the benefits they deserve while promoting a spirit of giving back.
Our mission
At Alabamotion, our mission is to empower all Alabamians by connecting them with essential resources such as SNAP, Alabama Medicaid, TANF, WIC, and LIHEAP through our innovative vehicle-donation program. We believe that every neighbor should have access to the benefits that can uplift their lives. By turning unused vehicles into financial support for our outreach efforts, we aim to ensure that every eligible person can discover their rights to assistance, fostering a stronger, more resilient Alabama community.
